Indicators
To evaluate the current state of the Belgian economy, the FPB regularly updates a series of indicators. The indicators concern the macro-economic stance of the economies of Belgium, its three neighbouring countries and the euro area, as well as the transport industry.
Core inflation
YoY growth rates in %
Description: As overall inflation can be strongly influenced by a few products with very volatile prices, this section provides a measure of inflation that is corrected for the price development of energy products and unprocessed food, which are the product categories in the consumer price index with the most volatile prices. Core inflation should provide an inflation measure that is more closely linked to economic fundamentals. Note that core inflation is only provided on the basis of the HICP and not on the basis of the national CPIs.
Unit: Percentage changes compared to the same period in previous year
